Aufgaben

Aside the synthesis of conjugated monomers and the resulting oligomers and polymers, the characterization with respect to the materials response in presence of ionizing irradiation will be part of the topic aiming at the potential application of such polymers as acceptor component in appropriate cells to convert ionizing radiation. The thesis will be dealing with structure property relationship studying monomers with various substiution pattern, the resulting polymers and their degree of polymerization as well as crosslinking density and the effect on electrochemical performance.

Qualifikation

The Master thesis will be undertaken in close cooperation with Dr. habil. Michael Maas and the „Advanced Ceramics“group at the University of Bremen.
Your qualifications:
- University degree in chemistry or a comparable subject (UNI/HS/FH)
- Advanced knowledge in organic and polymeric chemistry, in particular organic synthesis
- Advanced knowledge and interest in analytical methods such as infrared spectroscopy and NMR
- Safe handling with MS-Office, Origin, MestreNova
- Excellent communication, reliability, collaborative skills
